The photo series “Sleepwalking” observes and captures the narratives unfolding in the nightly street life. These observations stand in pure contrast to the daily hectic business and are covered in a mystic silence and expression of tender solitude.
Along with the modest and spotty street lights every photographed scenario would seem like a (snow) globe of a distilled, gloomy moment in focus and also like a stage play embodying its very own individual and beautiful story fragment while being surrounded by the dark.
While suffering from insomnia, taking long strolls through the streets at night and connecting with fellow insomniac beings through this series became part of a healing process.
