I am a California-based photographer working primarily in black and white. My work explores stillness as a psychological state, using restrained portraiture, obscured vision, and subtle tension between the figure and its environment.
I was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and hold a Master’s degree in Psychology from Saint Petersburg State University. My background in psychology strongly informs my approach to photography, particularly my interest in perception, internal pressure, and unresolved emotional states. After working as a mixed media artist, I transitioned to photography, where ambiguity and interruption became central to my visual language.
My work has received multiple LensCulture Editor’s Picks, a Gold Award at the Budapest International Foto Awards, and recognition from the International Photography Awards. I have exhibited internationally, including MIRA Mobile B&W Street Photography in Porto, the B&W Athens Photography Festival, and Trieste Photo Days.
