About Pippa Filippa

My practice centers around the fluidity of identity and the ongoing transformations of the self that we undergo as we grow and maneuver through life. My practice is closely related to my own lived experience, where I question myself and my place in the world, and interpret my findings using the photographic medium. Through my visual language I attempt to make these personal themes tangible, thereby relatable. My practice is rooted in visual experimentation. By intervening within the layers of a photograph, I aim to disrupt and reshape the viewer's perception, challenging the act of representation and the photographic medium itself.
