Street portraits

Nothing we can set up is as interesting as the way some people present themselves just walking down the street. What they wear, how they do their hair and makeup, how they stand and their expression. People are so generous about stopping for me to take their picture. I’m inspired by the looks and it keeps me sharp to work in this way. I have between 30 seconds and 4 minutes to understand and capture the thing that was important about that individual and gave me the courage to run up and engage with them. There are days when you don't see anyone too.
