Intention, Fate and Emergence is an ongoing experimental series. It is based on the study of phenomenology, the philosophy of experience. We experience our environment through the lens of our learned social norms, cultural background and upbringing. The series explores the idea what it may look like if we could strip ourselves from these preconceptions and look at our environment more intuitively. The series seeks to depict the complex, rich interactive layers of possible realities dependent of the person viewing it using the language of abstraction.
The photographs are immersed in natural, unfiltered sea water collected from the place where they were taken. As the water interacts with the layers of the polaroid photo, eventually a new view is emerging. The process can take days or month dependent on the original photo and its interaction with the water.
