Doggy bag

I took this photo in Rome, Italy. I was walking near the Colosseum and I saw this tourist with her dog hanging from her purse. I captured the moment when she was taking a selfie in front of the monument, with the dog that almost looks like a puppet. It seemed to me not only amusing, but also a scene that characterizes our times, for better or worse, as well as the historic center of the Eternal City, torn between the beauty of the past and the eccentricities of the modern day. This is one of my approach when I take candid photos in the streeets - more instinctive and rapid - whereas I often take a more wait-and-see approach.
