The Eastern European countries have intrigued me since I was a little boy. At the age of twelve my father, mother, sister and me traveled for 6 month around Europe in a camper van.
We drove to Istanbul and from there back to home through Bulgaria,
Roemania, Servia and Hungary. Those countries made a huge impact on me.
People looked more tough, the architecture was unlike anything I had ever seen. The atmosphere was different than back home in Western Europe.
It was more rough but it also felt more real.
In the autum of 2016 I bought an old camper van. I went back to the East European countries that intrigued me as a young boy.
In search for people and places that I feel attracted to, things that trigger my sences.
There is this special vibrance in the air. It’s a melancholic feeling, a feeling like your first love, your first kiss and your first heartbreak. A bittersweet but beautiful feeling.
I feel attracted to this kind of sensation, for me that’s what makes this life special.
