Jonathan Jasberg has lived a nomadic life since 2010, sustaining his photography practice through client assignments, independent projects, and teaching workshops internationally. He travels slowly, spending extended time in each location to understand both place and culture.
His color street photography has earned over 40 international awards, including 2022 Author of the Year at the Urban Photo Awards, first place in LensCulture's 2023 Street Photography Awards, and top prizes judged by Steve McCurry at both the 2022 Exibart Street Contest and Life Framer's World Traveler competition. He was named to PhotoLucida's Critical Mass Top 50 in 2024 and won the LensCulture Critics Choice and FeatureShoot Emerging Photography Awards the same year.
His work has appeared in National Geographic Traveler, New York Magazine, LFI, and GEO, and has been exhibited internationally. He shoots exclusively with Leica cameras and serves as an ambassador for Xiaomi's Leica-engineered phones.
